Place

When Manually Configuring a New System:

1. Determine all the subgroups (or items where they are not identical within a subgroup). 

2. Determine all the components that make up each subgroup

3. Add all the components to the system. Where a component is used on multiple items it only needs to be added to the component list once.

4. Determine a grouping and structure and add the groups

5. Add the subgroups

6. Add the items

7. Associate the components with the items

Place

When Using the Import Utility:

1. Create a spreadsheet with the following columns:

a) Group

b) Subgroup

c) Item

d) Component

e) Quantity

f) Any other fields that are required. See the import section for more details.

2. Determine all the subgroups (or items where they are not identical within a subgroup). 

3. Determine all the components that make up each subgroup

4. Determine a grouping and structure

5. Add the first line with the name of the group, subgroup and item. Include the first component in the item.

6. Duplicate the line and change the component. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all components have been included. 

7. Duplicate all the lines relating to the item and change the item description for where multiple identical items exist. The item description MUST BE UNIQUE.

8. Continue this process for each subgroup and group.

9. Copy and paste the data into the import utility.
